SINCE 1927 . . . Diamond Furniture has provided the best brand name furniture selection at the lowest possible price!
 Diamond Furniture was founded in 1927 by Herman S. Diamond. The company began selling small items door-to-door, allowing customers to pay a small amount weekly on their account. Eventually, customers began asking for small appliances and furniture. And soon, the first Diamond store was opened by the Diamond Family, Tom Stoeckle, and a small staff.
Diamond Furniture grew quickly, and even as they moved into new locations, they always remained a part of the Kensington community of Philadelphia. In 1976, a major fire destroyed their store at 2929 Kensington Avenue. In order to survive during this tragic time, the Diamond Family decided to "sell direct" from their warehouse offering low prices to raise cash rather than offering customers store credit. To everyone's amazement, this new approach generated more sales and customer interest than ever before.
This idea evolved into the current Diamond business model keeping our overhead to a minimum so that we can offer customers tremendous brand name selection, incredibly low prices, and outstanding value.

Furniture retailers from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware (members of the Tri-State Furniture Association) voted and awarded Diamond Furniture "Retailer of the Year!". Diamond Furniture was also awarded by the industry for "Excellence In Retail Advertising" and received the Tri-State Home Furnishings Association "Retail Advertising Award." In addition, Diamond Furniture was awarded the coveted "Presidential Award" for extreme dedication and efforts to the Tri-State Home Furnishing Association. And recently, on November 18, 2008, the Tri-State Home Furnishings Assosciation inducted Gary Diamond as it's president for 2009 and 2010 and awarded Ted Matela (Diamond Furniture's Director of Merchandising) Young Retailer of the Year!
Today, the third generation of the Diamond family is actively involved in our growing company of six furniture SUPERSTORES located throughout the region.
In September, 2007 Diamond Furniture cut the ribbon on their first independently owned and operated OUTLET
in Clifton Heights, PA and in June, 2008 the second in Mt. Holly, NJ.
